Country Manager (International Business)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new avenues of business with existing and new business partners (education consultants)
  • Identify new markets and develop new strategies that capitalise on the growth opportunities
  • Organise marketing campaign and provide administration support to overseas school partners
  • Conduct market research and organise marketing activities
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / Public Relations with minimum 2 years of relevant sales and/ or marketing experience
  • Result oriented, dynamic and self-motivated
  • Independent worker and team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in second/ foreign language would be an advantage to liaise with associates

Management Trainee (International Business)

Responsibilities:
  • Represent the Institute professionally to provide information on the academic programmes available
  • Provide consultation to prospective students and attend to enquiries through phone, email and walk-in appointments.
  • Establish new relationships and foster existing relationships with students, through proactive telephone calls, emails, arrange meetings, and conduct sales presentations
  • Follow-up on leads, course applications, enrolments and payments via phone, email and social media platforms
  • Identify new markets and develop new strategies that capitalise on growth opportunities
  • Organise marketing campaigns and provide administrative support to overseas partners
  • Assist the International Business sales team in marketing activities and administrative duties
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or relevant field with sales and/or marketing work experience
  • Result oriented, dynamic and self-motivated
  • Independent worker and team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in second/foreign language such as Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia/ Indonesia or Japanese would be an advantage to liaise with associates

Sales Support Coordinator (Management Development and Consultancy)

Responsibilities:
  • To support the Overseas Business (OB) sales team in managing and delivering value to existing clients and new business development activities to expand overseas markets for service offerings in training and consultancy
  • Assist OB sales team in pre-sales, sales and post-sales activities to achieve client acquisition, revenue generation and customer satisfaction in delivery of training and consultancy services
  • Liaise with overseas prospects/clients, related third parties and other departments in the OB ecosystem and value chain network to underpin value creation and generate revenue
  • Assist in creating new service offerings, customised training programmes and consultancy services for overseas clients and overseas markets as directed by the OB sales team
  • Assist in developing service solutions, costing, pricing, proposals and reports
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business/ Marketing/ Management disciplines
  • Preferably with 2 years’ experience in regional sales and marketing with international corporate clients. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • Competency in writing and speaking English fluently. Additional language skills would be advantageous

SALES – LOCAL BUSINESS

Head (Local Business)

The MDIS Local Business (LB) sales team provides professional consultation and advice to our prospective students on our well-accredited programmes so as to prepare and help them to stay competitive in the new knowledge economy.
Responsibilities:
  • Managing the sales team and setting the overall strategic plans for Local Business department
  • Develop business plan and implement strategies for growth
  • Plan and set directions, coordinate the effort of department staff towards achieving the institute’s goal
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop sales strategies
  • Liaise and work closely with the Head of Schools on their budget
  • Analyse the market trend and formulate the counter strategies
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Business/ Marketing or related field
  • At least 5 years relevant work experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the Education sector
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, mature, proactive and self-motivated

 

Senior Programme Consultant / Programme Consultant (Local Business)

The MDIS Local Business (LB) sales team provides professional consultation and advice to our prospective students on our well-accredited programmes so as to prepare and help them to stay competitive in the new knowledge economy.
Responsibilities:
  • Represent the Institute professionally to provide information on the academic programmes available
  • Drive enrolment for part-time and full-time academic programmes
  • Follow-up on leads, course applications, enrolments and payments via phone, email and social media platforms
  • Work alongside with the Management to achieve individual and overall team enrolment targets
  • Participate in roadshows, career fairs and programme previews
  • Work with team to achieve student progression number and revenue targets for local students
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree qualification, preferably with 2 years of sales experience
  • Familiar with social media platforms and competent in Microsoft Office
  • Highly adaptable to a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Candidates who are open to sales and result-oriented organisation
  • Required to work shifts

Senior Executive / Executive, Inside Sales (Management Development and Consultancy)

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for sales of Public Seminar courses, including acquiring new accounts and cultivating existing accounts
  • Carry out daily telemarketing and sales activities to meet assigned targets
  • Follow-up on leads and maintain effective sales lead conversion ratio
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on sales activities for the Public Seminar Business Unit
Requirements:
  • Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / Marketing
  • At least 2 years sales experience in B2B sales, marketing, promotions or telemarketing
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

 

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS

Head (Communications)

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for Marketing and Corporate Communications
  • Marketing Communications – conceptualise, drive, sell-in and execute campaigns and strategies to boost sales
  • Corporate Communications – plan new ways to raise the profile of MDIS and execute them
Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Master’s Degree in Journalism or Mass Communications or equivalent
  • At least 5 year(s) of relevant work experience
  • Independent, pro-active and able to work under minimal supervision
  • Good communication skills and able to handle people from all levels

 

Manager / Assistant Manager (Product Marketing and Management)

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible in achieving Schools’ student recruitment numbers and revenue targets for local and international markets
  • Execute marketing plans and related activities within budget
  • Carry out and implement products’ review and training
  • Take leading role in leads generation and tracking of sales / media effectiveness
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in preferably Marketing or related field
  • At least 3 to 5 years’ work experience in sales and marketing field
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Related experience in education sector would be advantageous

 

FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING

Management Accountant (Finance)

Responsibilities:
  • Preparing costing of programmes
  • Analysing company’s financial performance and making short / long term forecasts
  • Controlling and analysing expenditure to maximise the Operating Income (OI)
  • Provide key data to managers for planning and controlling, as well as costing of products & services
  • Working with all departments and the Management in making financial decisions
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, ACCA or CPA certified
  • Must be familiar with cost accounting concepts and practices
  • At least 3 years of experience in cost accounting and budgeting
  • Good knowledge of computerised accounting system
  • Self-starter, hands-on and able to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines

 

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND E-LEARNING SERVICES

Senior Executive / Executive, E-Learning

The MDIS E-Learning department offers interesting and innovative means of e-learning methodology to the Schools via online academic courses and video tutorials.
Responsibilities:
  • Execute the operational effectiveness of the E-Learning system (Blackboard) and the Video streaming system (Echo 360) in line with the Institute’s business rules and processes
  • Support Blended/ E-Learning projects for the Institute
  • Support other E-Learning functions that will drive the Institute to be proficient with the available tools and technology
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (IT) / Multimedia / Network / Instructional Design or relevant qualification
  • Experience in managing IT School operation and E-Learning support for internal and external stakeholders, such as staff and students
  • Experience in managing system administration of Blackboard, Echo360 or other LMS system
  • Good knowledge of Windows Servers, network operations, PC troubleshooting, multimedia and video recording

 

ACADEMIC AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SERVICES

Assistant Manager (Product Development and Management)

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, develop and strengthen University Partner Relationships
  • Work with Universities to ensure the smooth operations of existing academic programmes
  • Seek articulation for pre-degree programmes
  • Coordinate and prepare documents for Quality Assurance and Validation visits
  • Review current programme offerings and University partners on an annual basis
Requirements:
  • Minimum Master’s Degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience in developing and cording programmes in higher education industry
  • Equipped with professional business writing and communication skills
  • High sense of responsibility and accuracy in meeting deadlines
  • Comprehensive knowledge of academic quality assurance
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Executive/ Officer, Laboratory Technician cum Operations (MDIS College)

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare lab reagents and apparatus prior to the start of each science practical session
  • Book science lab schedules
  • Perform administrative and logistical duties related to students’ course of study at MDIS College, but not limited to acceptance, deferment, enrolment, feedback, course logistics, attendance and tracking
  • Plan and execute student related activities such as programme consultation, counselling, orientation and examinations
  • Ensure proper processes and documentation to meet audit requirements
  • Handle audit enquiries, and implement strategies to enhance operational workflow
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree with sufficient relevant experience
  • Working knowledge and experience with chemicals and reagents in a science lab environment
  • At least one (1) to three (3) years relevant work experience as an Office/Operations Executive, preferably in the Education, Research or Service sector
  • Strong administrative background with good working knowledge of MS Office

 

Executive / Officer (Central Planning Unit)

The MDIS Central Planning Unit (CPU) optimises resources (such as allocation of classrooms) for maximum returns and ensuring high facility, lecturer utilisation and efficiency in timetable and schedule planning for all academic programmes.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective administrative support in timetable planning, resource allocation and administrative matters including data entry and filing
  • Monitor the effective deployment of resources
  • Liaise with lecturers, university partners and any other external parties on matters pertaining to schedules, deployment, development and delivery of academic and training programmes
  • Attend regular meetings and prepare reports
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel)
  • Meticulous, resourceful, able to meet tight deadlines and possess an eye for detail
  • Proficient in the English language
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good team player with pleasant personality and positive attitude

 

Catering Chef / Café Supervisor (School of Tourism and Hospitality)

The MDIS School of Tourism and Hospitality (STH) provides its learners with quality programmes in a safe and professional environment. STH provides innovative education and training that enables its students to realise their full potential in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with food menu planning and food preparation for the Café and cater for Lunch Events
  • Responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen including product ordering and maintaining inventory
  • Provide professional leadership and direction to kitchen personnel and assist with staff scheduling
  • Ensure all recipes, food preparations, and presentations meet specifications and commitment to quality
  • Maintain a safe, orderly and clean kitchen
Requirements:
  • Trained in Culinary skills with good knowledge / level of cooking and production experience
  • ServSafe or other recognised food and beverage safety and / or hygiene certification required
  • At least two years of relevant experience in a food preparation / supervisory role with a commercial kitchen
  • Committed to quality service and food knowledge
  • Possess good understanding of proper use of major kitchen equipment including stove, refrigeration, knives and warmers
  • Computer literate and competent in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook and Word
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work on shifts including Saturday

 

CORPORATE ADMINISTRATION SERVICES

Business Analyst (Corporate Administration)

The MDIS Corporate Administration (CA) department provides council support and general administration service for the Institute.
Responsibilities:
  • Study and analyse various business units in line with the Institute’s strategic objectives and goals
  • Recommend any requirement of workflow re-engineering in order to ensure efficient and timely achievement of macro goals at a high & consistent return on investment (ROI)
  • Identify and evaluate options for improving business operations in meeting the needs of the business
  • Define various business/ industry/ macro issues with identification of root causes, probable implications and recommend immediate, short-term and/or long term action plans
  • Study and assess operational updates from all departments and address potential implications to ensure smooth pre-sales and post-sales customer service delivery
  • Be a wide-angle lens for the Institute to analyse how departmental issues may create an impact at the enterprise level
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or relevant field
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in business analysis, preferably in the education / service sector
  • Basic accounting experience would be advantageous
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to multi-task and work effectively at all levels
