The CDC & CCC-ITE Scholarship is open to Singaporean school leavers who have enrolled into full-time Higher Nitec and Nitec courses and are in the top 10 per cent of the GCE ‘N’/GCE ‘O’ level entrants at each intake exercise.  Company-sponsored students admitted to full-time courses at ITE are also eligible for the scholarship.

Recipients will be informed by ITE.  No application is required.

The scholarship will be given for the duration of the course.  For recipients in a 2-year course, renewal in the second year of study is subject to their performance and conduct during the first year of study.

The value of the award is $1,600 per year.

Recipients of the CDC & CCC-ITE Scholarship will not be eligible for the Edusave Merit Bursary or CDC & CCC-ITE Bursary.

 

Community Development Council & Citizen’s Consultative Committee-Institute of Technical Education (CDC & CCC-ITE) Bursary


The CDC & CCC-ITE Bursary is open to Singaporean applicants seeking admission to ITE full-time courses.  To be eligible, the applicant’s gross monthly household income (GHI) must not exceed $4,000 or gross monthly household per capita income (PCI) must not exceed $1,000.

The bursary quantum will depend on the GHI and PCI of applicants. Details are given in the table below:

Each award is for one year.  A full-time student in a 2-year course will have to reapply for the award at the beginning of the second year of study.

Applicants for the bursary must must be subsidized Singapore citizen students pursuing full-time Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma courses and must not be in receipt of the CDC & CCC-ITE Scholarship or any other scholarship. (A full scholarship typically covers tuition fees payable and a monthly or annual living allowance.)

To apply for the bursary, an applicant is required to submit an on-line application form for financial assistance and submit the supporting income documents (eg latest payslips, letters from employers) to the College where he/she is studying for verification. Students can approach the Colleges should there be a change in their household income after bursary application or award during the academic year.

Successful applicants will be informed by the Colleges. The Community Centres will notify the successful applicants when to collect the bursary cheques.

 

Howe Yoon Chong-PSA Scholarship


The Howe Yoon Chong-PSA Scholarship provides financial assistance to Singaporeans from lower income families to upgrade themselves through attaining formal qualifications and/or technical skills.

The scholarship is open to Singapore citizens aged 25 years and below who are admitted to a full-time Higher Nitec or Nitec course and whose Gross Monthly Household Per Capita Income is $750 and below. For applicants with GCE ‘O’ qualification, the aggregate score for English Language, Mathematics and best 3 subjects must not exceed 26 points. For applicants with GCE ‘N’ qualification, the aggregate score for Mathematics and best 3 subjects must not exceed 9 points.

The scholarship will pay for the tuition and other compulsory fees, a monthly living allowance of $300, and an annual book allowance of $200.

Edusave Awards for Achievement, Good Leadership and Service (EAGLES)

The EAGLES is a scheme that gives recognition to full-tiime ITE students for their leadership qualities, service to community and excellence in the non-academic areas, i.e. Sports & Games, Art and Cultural Activities, Clubs and Societies and Community Service.  Up to 10% of ITE full-time Higher Nitec and Nitec students who are Singapore Citizens will be selected for the award yearly.  No application for the award is required. The cash quantum of each award is $500.

 

The Edusave Character Award 

The Edusave Character Award (ECHA) is given to students who demonstrate exemplary character and outstanding personal qualities through their behaviour and actions.  Up to 2% of ITE full-time Nitec and Higher Nitec Singaporean students will be selected for the award yearly.  Each award is valued at $500.

 

Edusave Merit Bursary

The Edusave Merit Bursary is awarded to ITE full-time Higher Nitec and Nitec students in recognition of their academic performance.   Singapore Citizens who are ranked within the top 25 per cent of their course based on their examination results for the training year and have a Gross Monthly Household Income not exceeding $6,000 (or per capita income not exceeding $1,500) will qualify for this award.  Each award is valued at $500.  All eligible students will be informed by their respective CCCs on the application procedure.

 

Good Progress Award 

The Good Progress Award is aimed at rewarding the top 10% of full-time Singaporean students who show commendable improvements in their Higher Nitec and Nitec courses.  They must have passed all the accountable modules in the examinations and must not be in receipt of the Edusave Merit Bursary or CDC & CCC-ITE Scholarship.  Each award is valued at $400. No application for the award is required as the students who have shown progress in their studies will be identified by ITE.

 

ITE Arts Excellence Award

The objectives of the ITE Arts Excellence Award is to recognise quality contributions by students to the ITE arts scene and to motivate on-going students to excel in music and the arts.

Full-time Higher Nitec and Nitec students who have a good record of CCA, exemplary conduct, positive attitude and outstanding arts &/or music achievements/performance in ITE will be nominated for the award. The value of the award is $400 and nomination is opened to students in their final year of the course only.

 

ITE CCA Medal

The ITE CCA Medal is awarded to Full-time Higher Nitec and Nitec students who have brought honours to ITE through their achievement in music and arts, sports and games or have contributed significantly to the enhancement of College life and demonstrated outstanding leadership in their chosen CCA.

 

The awardees will be selected from among the recipients of EAGLES. Recipients of an equivalent incentive award will also be considered on a case-by-case basis. Each awardee will receive a Certificate and a Medal.

 

ITE Sports Excellence Award

The objective of the ITE Sports Excellence Award is to encourage and motivate on-going students to excel in sports and games and to recognise outstanding contributions and achievements by students in the ITE’s sports arena.

 

Full-time Higher Nitec and Nitec students who have attained a good record of CCA, exemplary conduct, positive attitude and outstanding sports &/or games achievements in ITE will be nominated for the award. The value of the award is $400 and nomination is opened to students in their final year of the course only.

 

Lee Kuan Yew CCA Award


The Lee Kuan Yew CCA Award is a recognition of excellence in CCA accorded to the most deserving Higher Nitec and Nitec students who have distinguished themselves among the ITE CCA Medallists. A maximum of 3 awards will be presented each year. The Award comprises a cash quantum of $400, a trophy and a certificate.

Lee Kuan Yew Model Student/Trainee Award 


The Lee Kuan Yew Model Student/Trainee Award is presented to full-time Higher Nitec and Nitec students and trainees who have performed consistently well in their course and have displayed outstanding conduct and attitude worthy of emulation by their peers. The Award serves to inspire students and trainees to display exemplary behaviour in training and develop high moral values as well as show care and concern for others. A maximum of 10 awards will be presented each year. The Award comprises a cash quantum of $400, a trophy and a certificate.

 

Lee Kuan Yew Technology Award

The Lee Kuan Yew Technology Award is presented to Higher Nitec and Nitec students who have developed excellent projects that embody quality, technical innovation and creativity. The Award serves to inspire students to develop a zeal for challenges, creativity and competition. A maximum of 10 awards will be presented each year. The Award comprises a cash quantum of $400 and a trophy. Each member of the project team also receives a certificate.

 

Singapore Armed Forces-ITE Sponsorship Scheme (SISS) and Military Domain Experts Scheme Study Award (MSA) (Higher Nitec/Nitec)

Students seeking admission into ITE full-time Higher Nitec and Nitec courses may apply for sponsorship under SISS or MSA (Higher Nitec/Nitec).  Under these schemes, the SAF will provide ITE students with sponsorship of their studies, which covers tuition fees and other compulsory fees.  In addition, they will receive a monthly allowance ranging between $550 to $750, depending on course and the type of vocation applied for.

Sponsored students are required to serve a bond upon completion of their ITE courses.  They may choose to join the Army, Navy or Air Force.

ITE Monthly Financial Assistance Scheme (MFAS) and Special Student Assistance Scheme (SSAS)

 

The ITE MFAS scheme aims to provide monthly allowance to needy full-time Singaporean students who face special hardship circumstances and require regular financial assistance to help them with daily expenses. The quantum of award is $150 per month.  The number of months of award shall be decided by the College based on the needs of the case.


The ITE SSAS scheme is a one-off financial assistance to tide students over short-term financial difficulties. It also serves as a form of transitional financial assistance to help students tide over sudden financial crisis in the family, so that they can continue with their studies.  The quantum of award shall be decided by the College based on the needs of the case (typically in the range of $100 to $400).
To apply for the financial assistance, an applicant will be required to submit an on-line application form for financial assistance and submit the supporting income documents (eg latest payslips, letters from employers) to the College where he/she is studying for verification.

MOE Bursary


The MOE Bursary is introduced for ITE students whose gross monthly household income (GHI) must not exceed $9,000 or gross monthly household per capita income (PCI) must not exceed $2,250. The bursary quantum is given in the table below:

Sponsorship for Nitec in Nursing Course

Sponsorship awards are offered to selected students who have successfully enrolled in the Nitec in Nursing course.  Upon successful completion of training, recipients will join the sponsoring hospital where they will perform direct nursing care and activities to patients.  More information on this sponsorship award will be available after students commence the course.

 

Singapore Olympic Foundation-Peter Lim Sports Scholarship


The Singapore Olympic Foundation-Peter Lim Sports Scholarship is offered to ITE students pursuing full-time courses.  Special consideration will be given to athletes who are in financial needs.  More information on this scholarship can be obtained at the respective ITE Colleges.

ITE has a wide-range of scholarships and sponsorship awards offered by external organisations and companies. Scholarships are generally awarded to deserving students based on academic merit, a good track record in co-curricular activities, leadership qualities and special talents.
