Yale-NUS Merit-based Scholarships

tuitionfee1Money Matters. We all know that but at Yale-NUS we aim to keep this part of the process as simple as possible. We know that college is one of the most important investments you and your family will make and we are fully committed to helping you afford a Yale-NUS education. Our approach is simple: work with each student individually to understand your unique circumstances. After all, Yale-NUS is a school unlike any other and your circumstances are unlike anyone else’s.

Our admission review is need-blind which means a student or family’s ability to pay Yale-NUS fees has no bearing on an admission decisions. We take an individual approach to assessing financial circumstances and will be here to answer your questions through each step of the process.

1. Merit-Based Scholarships

Merit-based scholarships are awarded in order to recognize the exceptional qualities of students entering Yale-NUS. Those qualities range from academics to music, sports, debate and more. Merit scholarships are awarded in recognition of all you have accomplished and all you will bring to the Yale-NUS community. These qualities are assessed in our holistic admission review and, as such, a separate application for merit scholarships is not required. Simply apply to Yale-NUS College and you will automatically be considered for the scholarships listed below. No additional materials are required. And no interviews either. It’s that simple.

Note that all students, regardless of citizenship, home country, academic interest, or extracurricular involvement will be considered for merit scholarships. And each scholarship will be granted for each of your four years at Yale-NUS. We only ask that you keep doing all the amazing things you’ve already proven you’re capable of!
