LASALLE College 2017 / 2018 scholarships

The Dare To Dream Scholarship is awarded to new Diploma students with special needs, who have demonstrated good performance, track record, and/or relevant experience in his or her chosen field of study. More about Dare to Dream.

Eligibility

  • Singapore citizens
  • Applicants must have been offered a place in a full-time Diploma programme for the August 2017 intake
  • Applicants must be medically certified about their special needs
  • Non-recipients of any other scholarships / bursaries / financial aid awarded by external organisations

Assessment Criteria

  • Good academic record with portfolio/audition/interview or other criteria as may be laid down from time to time
  • Good performance track record and/or relevant experience in chosen field
  • Demonstrates engagement in chosen field with activities outside of coursework, such as participation and/or achievements in external activities
  • High level of maturity and strong leadership qualities
  • Preference for applicants in financial hardship with a per capita income (PCI) of $1,500 and below

Value & Tenure
S$5,400 per academic year for a maximum of three (3) years or the minimum duration required to complete the Diploma course, whichever is shorter.

The scholarship recipient must maintain a grade average of at least 60 for each level of study in order to be considered for subsequent years of scholarship, subject to a maximum of three (3) years or the minimum duration required to complete the course, whichever is shorter.

Scholarship applications for new students have closed for AY2017/2018.
This will reopen in February 2018 for new students commencing their studies in August 2018.

LASALLE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CURRENT STUDENTS

This scholarship is open to current Diploma students in financial hardship and with strong academic record and leadership qualities.

Eligibility 

  • Singapore citizens
  • Current Diploma students progressing to the next level of their studies in August 2017
  • Minimum grade average of 70 in your June 2017 results to be shortlisted
  • Non-recipients of any other scholarships / bursaries / financial aid awarded by external organisations
  • Gross monthly per capita income (PCI) of S$1,500 & below

Assessment Criteria 

  • Impressive academic records and portfolio/ audition/ interviews and/or other criteria as may be laid down from time to time
  • Excellent studentship
  • Outstanding performance, track record and/or relevant experience in your chosen field
  • Demonstrates engagement in chosen discipline with activities outside of coursework, such as participation and/or achievements in performances/exhibitions
  • High level of maturity
  • Strong leadership qualities

Value & Tenure

Up to a maximum of S$5,000 for one academic year

Application Period : 1 – 21 June 2017

Applications are to be submitted to LASALLE College of the Arts, Division of Student Administration, Block E Level 2, Mondays – Fridays, 9:00am – 5:00pm. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of award at the end of July 2017.
